아침에 일어나서 yahoo.com에 들어갔다가 첫 화면을 보고 깜딱 놀랐다. 미국 연예계에 워낙 관심이 없는지라 연예뉴스에는 모르는 사람들 뿐이었는데, 익숙한 얼굴이 떡하니 박혀있는게다. 나으 데이빗 하이드 피얼스가 그의 오랜 파트너 브라이언 할그로브랑 결혼식을 올렸다는 소식이다. 뭐 같이 시상식에도 나오고해서 두 사람의 관계야 공인된 거지만, 사생활을 언론에 비추는 것을 꺼리던 그였기에 이 소식이 놀랍기만 하다.(사진 보고 더 놀랬다. 못 보던 사이에 왜 이렇게 늙었누...ㅠ.ㅠ) 나야 결혼이라는 제도 자체를 탐탁치 않게 여기기 때문에 그것이 동성간의 결혼이건 이성간의 결혼이건 굳이 반대할 이유도 찬성할 이유도 없고, 그와는 별도로 오랜 기간 신실한 관계를 지속시킨 이 두 사람의 사랑이 대단할 뿐이다...
